In compliance with the Central Bank's "Regulations Governing Foreign Exchange Business of Banking Enterprises" and "Directions Governing Banking Enterprises for Operating Foreign Exchange Business", banks are required to verify the accuracy of the remitter's address provided by customers for outward remittance services.
To comply with these regulations, the information for foreign exchange transactions conducted with Bank SinoPac shall be consistent with the details registered on the International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs website. From 2024/12/31(Tuesday), if the English address retained with Bank SinoPac differs from the address from the address registered on the International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs website, Bank SinoPac’s system will prompt your company to use the registered address from the International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs for the transaction. This adjustment is solely for use in foreign exchange transactions and will not result in any changes to the English address retained with Bank SinoPac.
If your company intends to update the English address retained with Bank SinoPac, you may proceed with the address update via the Global eBanking (Path: Management Settings > Application and Change Service Settings > Customer Information Update).
