To be cautious about financial fraud and crimes related to the COVID-19

If you want to buy medical supplies online, or receive an email or link about medical supplies, you should pay attention to the following:

1. Please verify the authenticity and legality of the company / seller before buying anything.

2. Beware that the website may be a phishing site - fraud groups usually use URLs that look very similar to legitimate URLs, such as "abc.org" or "abc.com".

3. Check the online comments of the company / seller before purchasing, for example: if there are other customers who complain about not received the product.

4. Note whether the account provided is different from the country where the company is located.

5. You should notify the bank to stop payment immediately if you find out or suspect yourself may be the victim of a fraud /scam.

6. Do not click on unknown letters or email links from unknown senders.

7. Be alert for unsolicited emails with medical supplies or health surveys. Normally, health authorities will not contact the public in this way.
