In order to comply with the latest guidelines from the Monetary Authority of Macau, as stated in Circular No. 005/B/2023-DSB/AMCM (Date: 26/06/2023), Article 4. SECURITY CONTROLS 4.2 (a) Authentication: "For internet banking, authorized institutions should consider implementing 2FA at login to validate customers' identities." Starting from June 26, 2024, Global eBanking Services in Macau will implement Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for member logins. Members of Global eBanking who have the authority to operate accounts in Macau branches, (2FA) will be implemented when member users log in to Global eBanking or Global eBanking+ App. Mobile device binding will serve as the second factor for identity verification. Please make sure to download the official Global eBanking+ App from the App Store/Google Play, complete the device binding process, and set up quick login options such as pattern lock, fingerprint recognition, or facial recognition.
The login process is as follows:
Corporate members who need to use 2FA for login include:
- Global eBanking Macau One-Person Corporation members
- Global eBanking Macau Cross-Region or GroupParent Corporation members
- Global eBanking Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam Cross-Region or GroupParent Corporation members with subsidiary accounts located in "Macau"
For Global eBanking preceding members, the MMAB2B customers (原華商金融網之澳門集團關係客戶), due to limitations in this membership system structure, you will need to convert to the member type of One-Person Corporation or Cross-Region or GroupParent Corporation in order to use 2FA for login. Please contact your account manager; we will assist you with the member conversion process.
